Throne Trip Tuesdays

Welcome to Throne Trip Tuesday. I'm not really sure where this "trips to the throne" will take me, but I am open to the Potter's hands as they mold me into the person He wants me to be. With every trip I make to the throne, I come away a changed person. Well, at least I'm sure that's the goal. Sometimes I make several trips about the same thing because I'm basically hard headed and want to do things "my way."

Are you like that? Do you like to control your environment? This is probably one of the most difficult areas for me. To let go and let God. I believe God is who He says He is. I believe God can do what He says He can do. Yet, I find myself trying to help Him. Yeah, right. Like HE needs my help. Really? No, not at all.

Today, This Day, I will evaluate my relationship with God to determine the barriers that hinder me.  I'll keep you posted on what God reveals to me.

Peace and Joy,
Susan

Psalm 90:12 (NIV) Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Susan....BIG time control freak here. I hate it when I do not hold the reins of my life. So, as you can imagine, I have dealt with feelings of wanting to tell God what is best for me!! YIKES! NOT a good place to be. Let go, and let God...yes.

Susan,

I too feel a lot like you. It's because we live in our sin filled world where we think we know what is best for us. However, it's during those rains, storms and floods that God shows us just how much we need Him and where we need to turn.

Trips to the throne room is always the answer because that is where we find mercy for our failures and grace to help us in time of need. :) And we are always changed when we make our way there. I am excited to hear what God reveals to you.

Susan,

I really really love this idea of posting Throne Trip Tuesday. Can we make it a meme like Thankful Thursdays or Word Filled Wednesday type of thing? Or is this a very personal thing to you?

I believe it would create an accountability in each of us to check in with the LORD.

Amen!

I like it! The journey for me is rough but I know God has greater plans than anything I can try to make happen. And I'm learning if I try to make it happen, it will fail, for He is not in it.

Peace on your Journey!
