Home Again Home Again, Jiggity Jig

To market, to market, to buy a fat pig,
Home again, home again, jiggety-jig.

To market, to market, to buy a fat hog,
Home again, home again, jiggety-jog.

To market, to market, to buy a plum bun,
Home again, home again, market is done.
Exactly what is a plum bun and why is my market shopping complete once I have it? Does anyone know? I "googled" it and found a bakery with that name but no mention of a bun that is plum.

Maybe we are the plums! Both Laynn and I are wearing the color plum. Isn't she a beautiful gal? So is my friend, Barbie. Here we are on Beale Street in downtown Memphis. We loved the colors on this wall so used it for a backdrop. Barbie's husband, Dan, took the photo for us. He was such a good sport being our driver. He took us shopping, sightseeing, and restauranting. Ok, maybe that's not an actual word but it works. lol

Beale Street was an interesting mix of people, food, and shops. But isn't that how God created us? We are a mix of people from all different walks of life. We have a variety of gifts and talents. Yet, our common thread is that we are each fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator. He loves each one of us the same.

Here I am signing my name on the wall at Graceland. Yes, I'm a dork. But if I wasn't such a dork, I wouldn't have met these lovely people from the Netherlands. After I signed my name on the wall, one of the gals in their group asked to borrow the marker. While they were picking their spot on the wall, I introduced myself, and extended my hand in welcome. This was their second visit to America. The next stops on their "musical tour" were St. Louis and Chicago. On their first visit to America, they traveled from Chicago to Los Angeles on Route 66. It was fun meeting and visiting with them.
Shouldn't we love people around us with that same kind of love? Clearly, we should. Is there someone in your life you should extend the hand of friendship? Reach out to them today, This Day, and watch God work in you and through you.

Peace and Joy,

1 John 1:7 (NIV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Looks like you had fun! I visited Beale Street in high school when I was on a mission trip to inner city Memphis with my youth group. I just remembering it being a loud, colorful, busy place. It was so much fun to explore!

I would've loved to have been there to shake your hand and sign my name too. You aren't a dork. You're full of life.

Hi. I've seen your comments on other blogs and decided to link over to visit your site. I linked here from Tea With Tiffany. I like this story, esp since I used to live in Memphis (I went to graduate school there). Going the extra mile to greet our visitors from another country will leave them with a positive impression of our country and, more importantly, of Christians. Good job! WB

I’m sorry for your friend and hope that God has been doing much in her marriage. God can restore anything and I’m living proof! She’s blessed to have a friend like you to pray and stand by her side. Thanks for the comment!

Hi there!
I would like to burn a theme at here. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of financial piramyde, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For several years , I earn money with the help of these programs.
I'm with no money problems now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I make 2G daily, and my first investment was 500 dollars only.
Right now, I managed to catch a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Visit my blog to get additional info.
