ThreeSixFive, Week 8

Side by side....well sort of. This is my pic of the week. My photography class assignment. These are both straight out of the camera (SOOC). No post processing.

NOTE: Photo #1 was taken Saturday, 2/12 at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I was trying to utilize some of the long shadows of the afternoon. The cloud cover was acting as a natural diffuser and softening the light. Photo #2 was taken the following morning, Sunday 2/13 at 7 o'clock. The sun was just breaking over the horizon.

Photo #1

Photo #2

My choice is not the same as the one my instructor chose. Which is your preference? Photo #1 or Photo #2?

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Please hop over to my photo blog, ShutterClicks to view the rest of this week's pictures. Have a fabulous week.

Peace and Joy,
Susan

I like the coloring of picture #2 the best.

I think I prefer #1...I like the grayer look of the sky against the stone. It looks like winter.

Were they taken at the same time, but with different settings on the camera? They both have things I like :) The first one is very clean and crisp, and I agree with Joyce that it's very "wintry" looking. #2 is sort of moody and more intense.

I like #2 the most! Gorgeous! But they are both very beautiful, interesting shots. :)

I like #1 because it's a neat building and I like that the building is so clear on it.
I liked this comparison!

Nice work, even if it's not like the instructor's. I can't imagine everyone having identical shots.

I like #2 the best because of the light - but the 1st one is such a good picture of the BUILDING. I'm conflicted :)
