Welcome. Welcome.....to Thankful Thursday. This is the time each week that I join Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey to count my blessings. I list five things for which I am thankful. They can be silly or serious....big or small because God honors them all.
1. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband. He willingly stands up for what is right when others are ready to do what's best for themselves.
2. I'm thankful that God has my best interests in mind. Sometimes (ok, most times) I don't understand why things happen as they do, I always know God is in control and I will be ok.
3. I'm thankful that God is healing a troubled relationship.
4. I'm thankful that school has started and the grand-boy is back into a routine.
5. I'm thankful for the men and women who sacrifice their lives for our freedom. God bless and protect them.
That's my five for the week. What are you thankful for today, This Day? Please leave me a comment here or link up at Sonya's.
Peace and Joy,
Susan

We don't need Mr. Linky to be thankful do we. I mentioned being thankful that God is in control too. We have a lot of the same things to be thankful for don't we?
Great list Susan!!...especially for me this week, I'm on board with #2 as well. I've had to hold on to that one in a major way..
Blessings!

Oh that #2 I see that God is using that in more than me one today. I just heard Beth Moore saying that things don't always go our way-that God doesn't always answer our prayers just the way we wanted or when we want-but that's because something better is coming our way. I believe that-that God's interest for me-no matter how much I want something else is the best! Love your list.
Blessings to you :)

When my kids were "school age" I was always glad to have them back on a good schedule when school started:-) Yes, we were busy, busy, busy - but at least we had a schedule! LOL!
Great list.
Amen to No. 3!
Lovely list, yes, we are truly blessed !
Thanks for sharing, have a great day !
Wonderful list Susan!! And the picture for Wordless Wednesday is amazing also!
great list...especially #2 :)
Susan,
I guess for most of us, our hubbies are on our thankful list this week. They never do cease to amaze and we could never do without their love and support.
Love your list and it's dedication to our men and women who are currently away from their families serving this country.

Great list. I love knowing God is in control - takes the stress away.
What a great list. I love that God has the power to heal relationships that we might have the strength to heal on our own.
Blessings to you!
Hello! This is my first week joining in for Thankful Thursday and I think it is so awesome! I enjoyed reading your list of all you're thankful for.
I also have a wonderfully amazing husband! I am really struggling with a very rare neurovascular illness. It has caused me to be homebound and pretty much bedridden. This has been ongoing for almost 2 years. If it wasn't for the Lord blessing me with my husband of almost 19 years (and my 2 incredible teenage daughters), I don't know where I'd be today!
I am so thankful to be able to share in Thankful Thursday with you all! I hope you have an amazing weekend!
Blessings,
Teresa <><
