Thankful Thursday - 8/13/09

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

This is the day each week that I participate in Thankful Thursday and list five things for which I am thankful. They can be silly or serious, big or small....God honors them all.

1. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband.

2. I'm thankful for the power of the name of Jesus.

3. I'm thankful for my four walls: food, clothing, shelter, job.

4. I'm thankful for coffee. Wait? What? Yep, I love a good cup of coffee.

5. I'm thankful my step-daughter and grandson were not seriously injured on a 4-wheeler last week. He's fine.....she has a torn rotator cuff. Tho painful....very fixable.

That's my five for the week. What are you thankful for today, This Day? Please leave your comment here or hop on over to TTs host, Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey and link up with your own list.

Peace and Joy,
Susan

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Glad your daughter and GRANDson are okay. Those things are dangerous. My boys had them when they were growing up and thankfully their accidents weren't major ones.

Thank you for that great anaology about my post today. I LOVED that and hadn't even thought of it. You're a good friend and example.
Smiles and blessings.

We do have so much to be thankful for. Especially that we can be injured, but not seriously hurt or worse. Thank you for the reminder. I love the verse you added. :)

I have noticed a pattern with your #1. I guess that is ok considering he is your husband. I am glad no one was seriously hurt in the accident.

Susan,

I love your list! We too often take those simple things like food and shelter for granted because it just expected that we will always have them. In this economy however, people are finding a different side of that coin.

So glad your daughter and grandson were ok despite the injury to the rotator cuff, all things heal.

Four wheeler injuries sound bad, so I'm grateful it was a minor thing, too. Coffee. MMMMmmmmmm we are all agreeing with you on that one.

Take Care,
