Perhaps you think of the furry, tree animal. They are cute. Somewhat. If you are into rodents. Which I am not. I don't like rodents. Not one bit. Especially when they want to make my home, theirs. That's what a particular squirrel has done.
The hubs and I were in the living room. Talking. We hear a noise. It's coming from upstairs. We investigate. It gets louder the higher we ascend. It's a gnawing. On wood. I go back to the main floor and retrieve a flashlight and step stool. The husband pushes back the trap door to the attic. Insulation and wood shavings drop from the opening. Yuck!
He cannot find the culprit but sees evidence of his intrusion. Tomorrow we are borrowing a couple of live traps. We are on the hunt for a squirrel. I'll keep you posted.
Peace and Joy,
Susan

We had squirrels in the attic of our last home one Christmas. They sounded like the Harlem Globetrotters sometimes. Best wishes with getting rid of the unwanted houseguest!!!
Good luck with your hunt! Happy weekend!
That's not good....hope you catch the troublemaker(S)!
They sound like an army when they run across my roof. Outside? Love 'em. Inside? Hate 'em. Good luck with the hunt! : )
"Up" was the first thing I thought of!
We had a mama squirrel and her babies in our attic in SC. None of the "animal agencies" would help us. My dad traps squirrels in his yard and takes them out to the country (hey, it keeps him occupied!), so he brought down a couple of traps one weekend and that did the trick. Good luck!
My first thought was "Christmas Vacation"...
