One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the gatherings. Whether it is getting together with family or friends, there is nothing better than time spent with people we love and care about. Today's prompt is a reflection of that joy. Food. Beverages. Warmth. Sharing.
This cup is cheer is nothing more than a soft drink in an elegant glass. Isn't that what makes it special? Yes. Partaking in the ordinary in extraordinary ways instills in the recipient that they are indeed precious.
Here's to today, This Day! May we each instill in others how precious they are to us and to God.

We have traveled to Okla to "gather" this weekend. I always look forward to this. My Mom brings out her punchbowl with the tiny, sparkly cups and you're right - anything is special when we drink out of those cups.
