Ribbons and Bows

Ribbons and bows remind me of days long ago when my daughter was younger. When she had less say in her wardrobe. She wore dresses. I braided her hair, French braid. Then put pretty bows in it. *sigh* She has lovely hair. Hair that she is finally able to manage. It is very, very curly. Lots of curly hair. She rarely wears it down. It's just easier for her to put it up in a pony tail and go. I understand.

But I was not able to get a photo of my daughter's lovely hair with a bow in it. She is working today. Besides the fact that she would think me loony if I thought she would even entertain the idea of me putting a bow in her hair and taking a picture. The whole notion makes me chuckle.

So instead of a picture of my lovely daughter with a bow in her hair, here is a photo of a present wrapped with a curly ribbon.

It is the only wrapped gift under my tree. I've gotten lazy in my older years or maybe it's better time management to put the gift in a bag. Yeah. That one. Better time management. There seems to be so many demands on my time during this holiday season. Are you feeling the crunch too? Are you behind or right on schedule?

Hope your week is filled enjoying every moment of this special and sacred time of year.

Peace and Joy,
Susan

Oh, I still wrap but most are minus the bows. :o) Wrapping doesn't take near the time that tying bows takes. And, I do use an occasional bag too but kids aren't too thrilled with gifts in bags. So..........

Happy week!

I wasn't bless with any girls, so I didn't learn to french braid or have bows. The only bows I get are the ones I make on present, just as you did in your picture. I am definitely feeling the pressure. We put the tree up today and I just began getting presents. Lots more to do!

Using "time management" as an excuse for bags is a GREAT idea! :)
I bet your daughter's hair is gorgeous. There's a little girl at one of my schools who has very curly hair. I have to tell her how beautiful it is every time I see her. I know she's going to hate it when she's a teenager, though!
