After the 4th HodgePodge

1. What is the most useful book in your house? Of course it's The Bible! It's all books wrapped in one. A love story. A diet and healthy eating book. History. Creation. Genealogy. Salvation. Parenting guide. And so much more.

So my second most useful books in the house are my canning and cook books. There are two or three that are my "go to" books. Do you have a favorite cook book? One that you use all.the.time? What is it?

2. What's worse-being too hot or too cold? For me it's being too cold. Ugh. I'm not a fan.

3. Share something that made you smile this past weekend. The look on my hubby's face when I arrived home early from my bike trip. Priceless!

4. How do you like your hamburgers? Or don't you? Cooked. ahaha. Ok. On a bun with ketchup, mustard, and my homemade relish. Nothing better.

5. What's your summer beach read? If it's not summer in your part of the world then tell us what book you're reading in front of the fire while sipping hot cocoa. Sadly, I'm not reading a book at the moment. I need a good summer read too. So, I'm taking recommendations. I'll also be hopping around to see what you are reading to get ideas.

6. How was your birthday celebrated when you were a kid? No elaborate parties like parents give their children today. Birthdays in my house were celebrated with immediate family, cake of choice (mine was angel food), and modest presents.

7. What's something that is totally uncool that you love anyway? I can't think of a single thing. But I'll be anxious to see what you come up with.

8. Insert your own random thought here. I generally do not talk about current events or "hot topics" on this blog. But today is different. There has been so much hoopla over the Casey Anthony verdict. Did you watch the trial?  I was not at the trial nor did I watch it on TV. I do not know if the girl is guilty or no. What I do know is that I would that people were half as upset at the killing of babies every single day in this country as they are over the not guilty verdict and the death of one child. Don't get me wrong. The death of that little girl is horrific and unconscionable. But in this country the killing of babies is legal and "socially acceptable." There is something so wrong with that. Just sayn.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting. Please hop on over to Joyce's to read other participants answers or better yet, link up with your own.

Peace and Joy,

I did watch the Casey Anthony trial, and I am upset, but I also agree with your random thought about abortion! It's just plain wrong--and sad.

So sweet that your husband was happy when you got home early :)
It is pretty amazing the parties people throw today with all the matching invitations, paper goods, gifts, etc. I agree with your random thought, we are in deep trouble.
